Phil's Ordination as Priest in the Free Episcopal Church Dec 4, 2004

"I believe I am so called."
All clergy are invited for the laying on of hands.
"Give your Holy Spirit to Philip...and make him a priest in your church."
"Receive the humble yoke of Christ. Jesus said, 'My yoke is easy and my burden is light.'"
Bishop Albrecht anoints the hands of the new Priest. "Philip you are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek."
Phil's son, Marshall, and the organist, The Rev. Keith Dey, look on as Vicar Phil receives applause from the congregation.
The celebrant invites all present to the Holy Table with these words, "I appeal to you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present yourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship." Romans 12:1
(L to R) The Rev. E Ray Wells who preached the sermon, The Rev. C. Lyn Renfrow who read the lessons, The Rev. J. Frank Grubbs, litanist, and Anna Grubbs, Acolyte
Longtime family friend, Adelaide Brooks, invites the Holy Spirit with music and song.
